What You’ll be Doing Maintain Class 8 trucks and trailers, performing preventative maintenance tasks such as removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting components. Diagnose mechanical problems, complete repairs, and, if needed, rebuild equipment for brakes, transmissions, rear‑ends, clutches, electrical components, diesel engines, and more. Evaluate completed work and conduct final inspection to ensure compliance with federal and state code regulations and company safety standards. Make off‑site service calls as needed. Work Monday‑Friday, start between 5:00am and 6:00am, finish between 4:00pm and 5:30pm, and may open and close the maintenance garage depending on schedule. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred). ClassA CDL license. Experience working on heavy‑duty trucks and tractor‑trailers, with ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and diesel engine problems. Ability to use battery and charging system test equipment. Basic welding skills (MIG, Oxy‑Acetylene) for welding/fabricating bodywork and parts. ASE certifications are a plus.
