EAOP - Regional Assistant Director

K to 14 Academic Preparation Specialist (Spec 3) Location: Main Campus - UCR Salary: $56,000 - $96,400 annually Responsibilities Delivers individual and group advising services and maintains relationships with a group of K-14 students. Assists program participants with navigating the college admission process by advising and identifying colleges and universities which students may be eligible for, assists participants complete their college and financial aid applications, advises program participants on policies as they pertain to college admission. Develops student academic plans to ensure post-secondary admission eligibility. Designs and implements grade-appropriate college-going workshops, curricula, materials and activities. Delivers college-going workshops to parents and families at community and school-sponsored events. Develops and maintains relationships with parents/families to support student academic success and access to higher education. Acts as advocate for students and parents; provides guidance and resources to aid students and their families in making the best decision concerning post-secondary educational and career options, reviews academic transcripts of program participants to make recommendations as needed regarding post-secondary admissions. Develops collaborative relationships with other college-going programs and K-14 higher education personnel. Participates in strategic and program planning, including academic advising, campus visits, summer programs, and workshops. Serves on department, organization, and external committees, workgroups, and coordinating bodies. Produces program reports, collects student data, documents participant contacts and progress, and tracks academic progress of program participants. Plans and implements college-going field trips and activities. Trains, supervises, and evaluates job performance of part-time, student, and/or summer staff; ensures University mentors are properly trained and knowledgeable about the college admission process and the admission requirements for each segment of higher education in California. Implements and facilitates recruitment and program alumni events; plans and coordinates recruitment events and activities which will yield the required number of EAOP participants. Performs other duties as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training. 4 to 7 years of related experience. Valid California Driver's License. Strong knowledge and experience working with educational equity programs serving a diverse student population. Strong knowledge of up-to-date information on K-12 and higher education policies and issues, ability to assess their impact on program strategies. Knowledge of K-12 and higher education institutions (UC, CSU, CC, etc.), admissions and financial aid requirements, ability to interpret policies and procedures for youth, parents, and school representatives. Knowledge of youth and adolescent development theory, including issues facing low-income, first generation urban youth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with school district administrators, school counselors, principals, teachers, and community contacts. Strong knowledge of high school graduation and college entrance requirements. Demonstrated cultural competency with respect to race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Significant experience advising and supporting educationally disadvantaged students regarding postsecondary opportunities and careers. Industry Outreach Specialist, STEM Location: Main Campus - UCR Salary: $61,000 - $106,800 annually (expected up to $76,000) Responsibilities Lead STEM employer engagement and partnership development for the Career Center. Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with local, regional, and national employers to expand paid internships, experiential learning, research collaborations, and full-time hiring opportunities for UC Riverside students. Target high-growth and innovation-driven industries—particularly healthcare, logistics, engineering, and technology—to strengthen UCR’s employer network and increase access to quality STEM opportunities. Align employer outreach with academic priorities, workforce trends, and student outcomes in close collaboration with the various colleges and career center colleagues. Develop customized engagement plans that lead to hiring outcomes, including campus recruiting strategy, promotion of UCR talent, and expansion of employer visibility on campus. Use data and labor market trends to guide outreach strategy, assess results, and strengthen long-term employer engagement. Coordinator for Associated Students Program Board (ASPB) Location: Main Campus - UCR Salary: $56,000 - $96,400 annually (expected up to $70,000) Responsibilities Shared responsibility for the operations and student personnel management of ASPB to ensure programs and events are in accordance with established operating policies and procedures. Secondary advisor for student leaders in ASPB, providing leadership, guidance, training, and support to all programming divisions and other ASPB initiatives. Assist the board and volunteer team in providing a robust campus entertainment experience for undergraduate students while supporting their success throughout the year. Support student life events and the mission, vision, and strategic plan, which includes a focus on social justice, leadership development, and building a sense of belonging. Coordinator for Curriculum and Assessment (CCA) Location: Main Campus - UCR Salary: $56,000 - $96,400 annually (expected up to $65,000) Responsibilities Provide department-wide leadership for curriculum development and assessment. Design, coordinate, and sustain a comprehensive curriculum and assessment framework for the entire Residential Education Department. Lead departmental assessment planning, data collection, analysis, reporting, and improvement cycles; coordinate learning outcomes across residential programs. Support professional and student staff in implementing evidence-based practices. Integrate academic learning with residential experiences and ensure alignment with institutional priorities, accreditation standards, and student success goals. Contribute to the residential community by developing, coordinating, and assessing residential curriculum and learning-centered initiatives that promote holistic student learning and development. Participate in crisis response rotation as required and partner with housing and residential education staff. International Student and Scholar Program Coordinator Location: Main Campus - UCR Salary: $56,000 - $96,400 annually (expected up to $66,100) Responsibilities Program that fosters the success and well-being of the international community. Identify needs, develop learning outcomes, and design and deliver professional intercultural and support programs that facilitate educational, professional, and personal success of international students and scholars. Ensure compliance with federal regulations mandating regular orientation, informational, and cultural sessions to F-1 and J-1 students and scholars. Contribute to outreach and campus training initiatives that equip faculty, staff, and students with necessary resources and skills to effectively contribute to an international campus environment. Teaching Assistant Development Program Specialist Location: Main Campus - UCR Salary: $66,500 - $118,300 annually (expected up to $78,000) Responsibilities Management of the Teaching Assistant Development Program (TADP) within Graduate Division. Initial and ongoing training and pedagogical support for UCR graduate student Teaching Assistants (TAs). Develop and deliver mandatory New TA Orientations and quarterly continuing training for under-performing TAs. Organize pedagogy workshops and oversee the annual TA teaching awards. Collaborate with other departments to maintain the student teaching evaluation system, maintain detailed records, and provide program support for marketing, data analysis, and assessment.
