The Associate Manager assists with the daily operation of a Lilly Pulitzer retail store, including sales, customer service, and safeguarding store assets. Responsibilities Understand the overall concept of Lilly Pulitzer, including lifestyle, customers, merchandise, and heritage. Assist Store Manager to achieve net sales plan and maintain high sales performance. Build team skills as determined by the Store Manager. Present and sell merchandise consistent with the brand. Greet each customer and provide sales assistance to complete sales. Know merchandise and planned receipts to stock and present new receipts timely. Know floor merchandise and suggest appropriate items to customers. Provide merchandising suggestions to improve sales. Build a personal client book. Use the EREG POS system effectively, performing register transactions, inventory receivings, transfers, and opening/closing of registers and store. Implement daily staff plans in absence of Store Manager. Safeguard store assets and maintain inventory integrity. Prevent inventory shrink and assist in cycle counts and year‑end inventory. Provide daily reports of sales, transactions, and sales by style as requested. Operate the store consistently with prescribed company policies and procedures. Provide ideas to grow and improve the business (merchandising, staffing, displays, promotion, hours, etc.). Skills & Qualifications Understanding of Lilly Pulitzer brand with genuine enthusiasm for the concept, customers, and merchandise. Fashion credibility to sell merchandise to customers. Initiative and self‑assurance to approach and sell customers comfortably. High level of dedication, commitment, and initiative to operate store with minimal supervision. Flexibility to accommodate typical retail hours. Comfortably operate an automated point‑of‑sale system. Ability to motivate and lead a retail staff. Detail orientation for safeguarding assets, including cash reconciliation and inventory management. Potential to be promoted to Store Manager.
