Job Description Welder Location: Lynchburg, VA Shift: (day shift) Monday - Friday; 6am-4pm OR (night shift) Monday - Friday; 4:30pm - 2:30am Type: contract-to-hire About the Company Our client is a full-service structural steel fabricator that excels in safely and seamlessly building complex projects on time and on budget. Serving clients throughout the East Coast in various end markets including office towers, event centers, stadiums, airports, healthcare, education, data centers, transportation, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Weld components in vertical or horizontal position. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
