Assistant Plant Controller – Manufacturing

Location: Greater Seattle, WA Area
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $130,000–$155,000 DOE + 10% Bonus

CV Resources is partnering with a leading global aerospace manufacturer to identify an Assistant Plant Controller for a high-visibility leadership opportunity supporting multiple manufacturing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing finance professional with strong cost accounting, inventory, and standard costing experience who is looking for continued career growth. The organization is specifically seeking someone with the potential and desire to develop into a Plant Controller position in the future.

Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Assistant Plant Controller will serve as a key financial partner to plant and operational leadership. This individual will help oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, planning, controls, and analysis while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and working capital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reporting and consolidations
• Manage and maintain the integrity of the plant's standard cost system
• Oversee and analyze inventory, manufacturing costs, margins, and operational performance
• Partner with plant leadership on financial planning and business decisions
• Develop forecasts and operating plans covering sales, profitability, CapEx, cash flow, and balance sheet activity
• Analyze significant transactions and capital expenditure proposals
• Identify opportunities to improve EBIT and operating working capital
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and support SOX 404 compliance
• Assist with pricing and quote analysis to support profitability objectives
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors
• Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to senior operational leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience
• Strong experience within a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of standard costing
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and financial reporting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience working within a SOX-compliant environment preferred
• ERP experience within a complex manufacturing organization
• Strong operational mindset with the ability to partner effectively with plant leadership
• High-energy, hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment
• CPA and/or MBA preferred, but not required

This role offers significantly more than the traditional Assistant Controller position. You'll have exposure to multiple manufacturing operations, work closely with senior plant leadership, and play an active role in improving operational and financial performance.
