RN Intensive Care Unit

Schedule: 36 hours/week; 6:00 PM-6:00 AM, three nights per week. We are seeking an experienced, reliable RN to deliver exceptional nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in an acute and critical care environment. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to rapidly assess patient status, prioritize problems and needs, and implement evidence-based clinical nursing interventions for patients requiring intensive medical management.


Primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of adult and pediatric patients to identify acute changes in condition and determine priority needs.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans focused on improving outcomes and promoting recovery.
• Delivering timely clinical interventions-medications, airway management, hemodynamic support, and other therapies-consistent with scope of practice and unit protocols.
• Using leadership and delegation skills to coordinate multidisciplinary care, guide support staff, and maintain safe patient assignments during high-acuity periods.
• Maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment through adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and monitoring/reporting of sentinel events.

Minimum qualifications: Current NE RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. Some prior experience in acute, critical care, or emergency nursing is preferred. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective communication with patients and families, and the ability to thrive on a night-shift team that values reliability, compassion, and continuous improvement.
