Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and other assessment tools
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections in collaboration with the obstetric care team
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery expectations, and postpartum care

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure eligibility
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Prior clinical experience in Labor and Delivery

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and/or AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems in a labor and delivery setting
