Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to tailor personalized treatment plans.
• Utilizing various treatment modalities including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to enhance recovery.
• Setting, tracking, and documenting patients' progress towards individual therapeutic goals, while adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educating patients and their caregivers on exercises and techniques to manage their conditions outside of therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care, including communication with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Staying current with evidence-based practices by attending workshops, engaging with professional literature, and participating in professional societies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients include a diverse range of individuals, from young athletes recovering from sport-related injuries to seniors undergoing rehabilitation after hip or knee surgeries. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Active state license in Physical Therapy for Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient and team interactions.
• Proficient in word processing and computer skills to document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience in physical therapy is not required, candidates with a background in orthopedic settings or home care will be given preference. Experience in assisting with and fitting patients for assistive devices is highly valued. Additionally, any prior involvement with patient education and rehabilitation methods will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, in addition to a robust benefits package that includes:
