Inspector 3 (Sensors)-2nd Shift

Job Description Summary In this position you will inspect assembled parts for imperfections and nonconformities. You will review all assigned parts against blueprints and process sheets to verify they meet customer standards. You will test electrical components and measure them with an ohm meter, ruler, and micrometer. Non‑conforming parts will need to be sent back to the assembly team for repair or scrapped if non-repairable. Basic Qualifications High School Education or GED equivalency. Three years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability and willingness to use hand tools and measuring devices such as optical comparators, ohm meters, leak‑check equipment, coordinate measuring machines, dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, and gauges. Intermediate understanding of basic computer applications, including Oracle and Microsoft applications. Willingness to obtain specific knowledge in Electrical Inspection or Mechanical Inspection. Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation, including GD&T. Ability to pass a visual acuity exam upon offer. Willingness to obtain Braze, Weld, and Solder inspection certification as required. Desired Qualifications 3–5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with customer requirements and audit experience. Knowledge of Quality System requirements (AS9100). Preferred experience in assembly, solder, or electronics manufacturing. Experience in a self‑directed team environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Intermediate understanding of special processes such as brazing, soldering, welding, and coating. Ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data. Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing knowledge. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to assure product quality. Identify and document non‑conforming parts while using Oracle to maintain inspection records. Inspect raw materials and purchased parts for design conformance. Use statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required. Perform tasks according to internal process specifications and third‑party requirements. Assist support functions in root cause analysis. Communicate with the team to ensure all members are aware of product deficiencies, new processes, or issues. Work with limited supervision. Set up, test, and troubleshoot manual testing, including performance testing and trim grind. Understand operation of all inspection equipment within the department. Inform shift operators of special problems involving operation or setup. Cross‑train other employees as needed based on knowledge and experience. Complete all labor tracking documentation in writing or electronically. Report problems to appropriate resources and/or Coach. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products. Participate in and support team initiatives. Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures. Exemplify and coach others on GE Leadership behaviors. Perform duties on more complex, prototype, or first‑time builds. Perform final inspection responsibilities as required by area. Perform and document First Article inspections as required. Perform complex testing (e.g., surge test, dielectric, hipot, helium leak check, ATP, hardness testing). Other duties as required. Physical Demands Continuously use hands and fingers in repetition. Occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance. Continuously sit and, occasionally, lift up to 20 lbs.; push/pull up to 22 lbs. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $27.75 per hour plus 10% shift differential. Position eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary or commission. Posting expected to close on 3/31/26.
