Job Description

We are seeking an experienced House Supervisor RN for a travel assignment at a 25-bed acute care facility in Gouverneur, NY. In this leadership role, you will oversee nursing operations across all units during the night shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery.

Average Daily Census: 19 patients
Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care across all inpatient units
• Lead Code Blue, Rapid Response, and crisis interventions
• Manage admissions, transfers, and bed placement
• Oversee facility diversion and patient transfers to higher levels of care
• Monitor and report sentinel events
• Ensure compliance with DPH, TJC, OSHA, and regulatory standards
• Support discharge AMA processes
• Promote infection control and workplace safety
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff during night operations

Common Patient Diagnoses

• CHF, Pneumonia, Chest Pain (rule-out)
• Syncope, Diverticulitis, Cellulitis
• COPD, ETOH Withdrawal, Opiate Withdrawal
• General debility

Requirements

• Active New York RN License (in hand)
• Minimum 1 year House Supervisor or RN Manager experience
• EPIC experience (required)
• Travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must live 50+ miles from facility
