Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a high pressure heating plant. and reassembles boilers as required. Performs repairs to boilers. Repairs pipes paints and removes equipment for repair or replacement as required.

Essential Functions
-Maintain operate repair and clean power plant equipment.

-Observe the operation of the plant and make necessary adjustments.

-Respond to emergencies and equipment breakdown.

-Read meters and gauges at specified intervals to insure proper temperature pressure water levels etc.

-Keep power plant logs by recording readings steam and power generated fuel usage maintenance performed and similar data to keep accurate records.

-Responsible for testing boiler water and returns.

-Add chemicals when necessary for proper mix to insure correct balance.
