You will combine strategic HR guidance with hands-on employee support to strengthen engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. This remote role offers the opportunity to influence workforce planning, leadership development, and change management across a distributed, multi-state workforce. You will help leaders navigate complex employee matters while ensuring compliance in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Your work will directly support organizational growth and a workplace culture grounded in excellence, compassion, curiosity, and integrity.
\n Accountabilities: As a strategic partner to functional leaders, you will align people strategies with business priorities, support employees throughout the employee lifecycle, and develop scalable HR practices that enable sustainable growth.
Strategic HR partnership: Advise functional leaders on organizational design, team effectiveness, change management, and leadership development.
Employee relations: Manage sensitive employee matters with discretion, fairness, and sound judgment. Coach managers on performance conversations, conflict resolution, and appropriate employee decisions.
Performance and talent development: Support performance reviews, career pathing, manager capability building, and team development initiatives.
Workforce planning: Partner with business leaders and Talent Acquisition on headcount planning, role clarity, succession planning, and organizational scalability.
Culture and engagement: Lead initiatives that strengthen inclusion, employee well-being, engagement, and a shared sense of purpose. Ensure follow-through on employee engagement survey action plans.
HR compliance and policies: Maintain compliant HR policies and practices across multiple states, with particular attention to complex employment regulations in California and other regulated jurisdictions.
People analytics: Use workforce data and people metrics to identify trends, guide discussions, inform HR strategy, and develop targeted interventions.
Organizational growth: Adapt HR programs and processes to support a rapidly evolving workforce while maintaining consistency and a positive employee experience.
Cross-functional collaboration: Build trusted relationships with employees and leaders across clinical, technical, and corporate teams in a remote-first environment.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings substantial HR business partnering experience, strong employment law knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic workforce initiatives with day-to-day people management. Experience supporting clinical teams and working in a high-growth, multi-state organization is essential.
At least 7 years of experience as a People Partner, HR Manager, HR Program Manager, or in a similar human resources role.
Experience working in a remote-first, multi-state organization.

Deep understanding of employment law and HR compliance across multiple states.
At least 4 years of experience navigating employment laws and regulations in California, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, and Washington, including advising leaders on employment-related decisions.
Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and performance management to career development and leadership growth.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, coach leaders, and navigate complex employee relations matters.
Experience operating in a highly regulated environment, preferably within healthcare or a related field.
Ability to use people analytics and workforce data to influence decisions and guide organizational initiatives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative, coaching-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
Flexibility, adaptability, and sound judgment in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
Benefits:
Salary: $115,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, location, organizational needs, and market conditions.
Fully remote work arrangement within eligible U.S. states.
