Job Overview

The Literacy Council of Sarasota ('LCS') is growing, and we are seeking a dynamic Program Assistant to join our team! This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful community programs by providing exceptional administrative support to our three program coordinators.

As a key member of our organization, you will help ensure smooth program operations, assist with program coordination, and deliver outstanding customer service to our clients, partners, and team members. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and proactive attitude will drive the success of our initiatives and foster a positive environment for everyone involved. Duties

• Provide customer support through clear communication, active listening, and timely follow-up on client requests or concerns.
• Support our family literacy program events and monthly mailings;
• Support our English Live 24/7 online program through assistance with scheduling and communicating events, learner registrations and input, payment tracking, and database entry.
• Support our online and live adult language classes by supporting the program coordinator with registrations, assessments, tracking attendance and waitlist.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Comfort with databases and reporting
• Customer service mindset (learners, and coworkers)
• Ability to shift priorities quickly
• Proven office experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar),
• Strong typing skills with high accuracy; capable of managing data entry efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time well in a fast-paced environment.
