Commercial Lender

Job Title: Sr Commercial Lender Location: Onsite – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX About the Opportunity: A well-established, mid-to-large sized community bank with a strong footprint in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) market is seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Lender to join their team. This is a high-impact role for a motivated individual who brings strong market knowledge, deep community connections, and a proven ability to source and structure quality commercial loans. Position Overview: This is an onsite role based in the DFW area and will be responsible for building a C&I loan portfolio from the ground up. While the primary focus is on C&I lending, the role may also involve a smaller portion of owner-occupied commercial real estate loans. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, including close partnership with the bank’s treasury services group, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients. Key Responsibilities: Source, structure, and close C&I loans to new and existing business clients. Develop and maintain strong relationships within the DFW business community. Collaborate with the bank’s treasury team to provide clients with holistic financial solutions. Maintain a strong understanding of local market conditions, industries, and competitor trends. Perform credit analysis and work closely with underwriting to ensure sound credit decisions. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Potentially assume management or leadership responsibilities, depending on experience and performance. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending. Strong network and presence in the DFW business community. Demonstrated ability to originate, underwrite, and manage C&I loan relationships. Familiarity with owner-occupied CRE lending is a plus. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Self-starter with strong business development acumen. Management experience is a plus, but not required.
