Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex problems
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues and high-risk discharge planning
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers by assessing readiness to learn, developmental level, and factors affecting ability to learn
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum of 2 years of current IMC (Intermediate Care) experience with willingness to accept IMC patients
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a hospital setting
