We're looking for a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our team at The Kensington Sierra Madre.

There's a difference between treating someone who happens to live in a senior living community and practicing therapy as part of the community.

Here, you'll see the same residents throughout their day.

You'll notice how someone moves down the hallway.

You'll learn what activities they love.

You'll understand the environment they're navigating every day.

And you'll be able to use all of that information to make your clinical decisions better.

The community becomes part of your clinical toolbox.

You'll provide skilled physical therapy focused on helping residents maintain or regain the strength, mobility, balance, confidence, and independence they need to live the life they want.

You'll:

• Evaluate and treat residents with a wide range of orthopedic, neurologic, balance, mobility, and functional needs.

• Develop individualized plans of care based on meaningful functional goals.

• Help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, gait, transfers, endurance, and safety.

• Identify opportunities for early intervention when you notice a change in function.

• Incorporate the resident's actual environment and daily routines into treatment whenever appropriate.

• Help residents return to the activities, routines, and experiences that matter to them.

• Educate caregivers and community staff on strategies that support mobility, safety, and independence beyond the therapy session.

• Collaborate closely with OT, nursing, caregivers, families, and community leadership.

• Communicate changes in resident status proactively and participate in interdisciplinary care.

• Build genuine relationships with residents and families.

• Document efficiently and thoughtfully using Prava's technology and AI-enabled tools.

• Measure what matters: functional progress, meaningful outcomes, and resident impact.

• Contribute to a therapy culture built around clinical excellence, curiosity, compassion, and accountability.

You don't automatically reach for the same treatment because the diagnosis looks familiar.

You ask questions.

What does this person need to be able to do?

What are they afraid of?

What changed?

What's happening in their environment?

What would make the biggest difference in their day?

You believe:

Every intervention should have a functional purpose.

Residents should be appropriately challenged—not underestimated.

The environment should be adapted before we blame the resident for not adapting to it.

Outcomes matter more than minutes.

Caregiver education is part of treatment.

Dignity and autonomy are clinical priorities.
