Job Title: Seasonal RN - Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS & NRP Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care Postpartum hospital experience Description: This is a seasonal travel RN position specializing in postpartum care. The unit has 29 beds and a staff of 61. Patient ratios are 3-4 couplets per RN. Equipment includes Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC Glucose monitoring. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech / CPN. Candidates will assist with various procedures such as POC Glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, circumcision assistance, and hypertension assessment/management. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential. Candidates should enjoy staying busy and prioritize patient care experience. The unit is known for having a close-knit team of nurses and support staff who collaborate effectively. Flexibility in scheduling is an advantage, and the unit sees a significant number of deliveries monthly.
