Travel Cath Lab / EP Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience to provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in a hospital cardiac catheterization lab.

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting,
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week,
• Procedures include invasive cardiovascular, cardiac, and vascular diagnostic and interventional cases,
• Responsibilities span both the procedure room (scrub assistant) and control room (monitoring and documentation),
• EMR: Epic,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab/Cardiology experience required,
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred,
• Active ARRT or RCIS required, or must obtain RCIS within 18 months of hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification (RCIS or RCES) also accepted,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to start date,
• Fluoroscopy Certification required,
• Candidate must supply their own radiation monitoring badges,
• Active license required if applicable,
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Assists physicians during radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and acts as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions,
• Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room to monitor and document procedure images and events,
• Educates patients and families on pre- and post-procedure expectations and physical conditions,
• Assists with maintaining unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures,
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including identifying safety hazards and process improvement opportunities,
• Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment,
• Two years of Cath Lab/Cardiology experience is preferred
