About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Certifications: - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - ACLS - BLS - NRP Must-Have: - OBED Circulate C-Sections - Ability to manage high-risk Antepartum - Labor experience - Experience managing COVID patients in labor/C-Section/Antepartum/OBED Description: The unit has 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 surgical beds, and 8 antepartum beds. There are approximately 55 staff members working on the unit. The day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 2 OBED nurses, 3 OR nurses, 2-3 Antepartum nurses, and 10 labor nurses. The night shift includes similar staffing levels. Patient ratios are 2:1 for labor, 3:1 for OBED, 4:1 for Antepartum, and 1:1 for the OR. The unit uses EMR systems such as CPN and Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include C-Sections, Cerclage, and BTLD&C for PPH. Candidates should possess great teamwork skills and be able to adapt to fast-paced environments. Weekend shifts may be required, with a minimum of 2 mandatory weekend shifts per month. No on-call duties are expected.
