A n octurnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. Local Team Collaboration: Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 26 physicians with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who rely on and learn from one another in their approach to patient care. We gather frequently for lunch and monthly for team meetings. We proudly sponsor H-1B candidates, and Sound has excellent in-house visa specialists as well as licensing and credentialing experts. Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. IM or FM board certification or eligibility, with the expectation of obtaining certification. Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in California. We welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or physicians with experience desiring a career change, though we are not yet considering 2027 graduates for this opportunity. Authorized to work in the United States. Scheduling: This is a nocturnist schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM. Flexible block schedule. Key Responsibilities: We work in a closed ICU setting with 24/7 intensivist coverage. Our team is not required to do procedures. We encourage our team to participate in hospital committees and the community. For those who like to teach, we work with Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.
