PRESS HELPER

LOCATION : Columbia, South Carolina

PAY: $17/hour 

SCHEDULE:  Full-time, Monday-Friday 

Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dependable Press Helper to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art printing facility producing high-quality, full-color products. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting press operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety throughout the production process. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are eager to learn and grow within the printing industry.   Key Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow job orders, layout sheets, and production specifications
• Assist with the setup and preparation of print jobs, including loading materials and adjusting components
• Support press operators during production runs to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Monitor printed output to ensure consistent quality and identify any defects or issues
• Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues and escalate concerns as needed
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on printing equipment to support optimal performance
• Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and materials for ongoing production
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to read and understand job tickets, layout sheets, artwork, and other production specifications
• Previous experience in printing or operating a sheet-fed press is preferred but not required
• Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Manufacturing/production setting with exposure to machinery and varying noise levels

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
