Senior Accountant (Greater Phoenix Area)

Are you the accounting pro who doesn't just close the books, but knows the story behind the numbers? Headfarmer is partnering with a company with real momentum behind it, looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen the backbone of their financial operations, reporting directly to the Controller.

This role goes beyond traditional debits and credits. You'll be trusted with the accuracy of the company's financial records while partnering with leadership on decisions that shape the business.

What you'll own:

• Own key pieces of the month-end and year-end close, from journal entries to account reconciliations
• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Dig into inventory transactions, valuation, and cost trends, flagging discrepancies before they snowball
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and support tax compliance
• Partner with operational leaders to deliver financial analysis, reporting, and KPIs that actually get used
• Contribute to process improvements and system implementations across the finance function

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong grasp of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs
• Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational instincts
• Bonus points: CPA (or in progress), public accounting background, or experience with inventory/cost accounting
