Qualifications & Requirements: Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License Any additional certifications required for Special Education instruction Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field Strong communication and collaboration abilities Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusivity Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with students' IEPs Collaborate closely with general education staff, specialists, and families Create a positive, engaging classroom climate that supports all learners Adapt and modify curriculum materials to address varying student strengths and challenges Monitor, track, and report on student progress and performance Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development activities This is a full-time, contracted position, working 35 hours per week onsite in a vibrant school community. Your expertise will provide essential continuity for students and staff, making a notable difference during this vital period. Compensation for this position ranges from $31.34 to $51.34.
