Job Description
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing a welcoming, professional, and efficient experience for every guest. This position handles guest arrivals and departures, reservations, payments, guest questions, and service concerns while helping maintain smooth daily front desk operations.
- Welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
- Process reservations, cancellations, room changes, and guest requests.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate hotel information.
- Process cash and credit card transactions according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain accurate guest accounts and reservation information.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room status and guest needs.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and the surrounding area.
- Monitor the front desk and lobby to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Protect guest privacy and confidential hotel information.
- Follow hotel safety, security, cash-handling, and emergency procedures.
- Complete shift reports, documentation, and other assigned front desk duties.
- Assist other departments when necessary to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
