Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in the Labor and Delivery unit. The role involves floating between five hospitals based on staffing needs and patient census. Nurses will be responsible for the care of pregnant patients as well as postpartum patients up to six weeks after delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care.
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and manage labor using evidence-based protocols.
• Administer medications and perform assessments on patients in labor.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Handle emergencies and complications that may arise during labor and delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Must hold an active New Jersey RN license at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and FHM are required; AWHONN certification preferred.
• Epic charting experience is preferred.
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours after signing the contract.
