Our Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside mission-driven leaders across key areas of our organizationincluding Programs, Marketing, Development, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and more.

Whether you're passionate about global affairs, nonprofit operations, or organizational development, this internship provides hands-on experience at the intersection of US national security, private philanthropy, global impact and nonprofit innovation.

Location: Arlington, VA Duration: (flexible start and end dates) Schedule: Part-time or full-time (minimum 20 hours/week) with flexible lengths. Compensation: $20.00 per hour Eligibility: Undergraduate juniors/seniors or graduate students. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

What You'll Gain:

Interns will take ownership of a focused assignment that aligns with organizational goals and culminates in a final presentation or product at the end of the internship.
• Mentorship & Exposure: Engage in one-on-one mentorship sessions, all-staff meetings, and intern-specific professional development opportunities.
• Mission-Driven Culture: Understand how a nonprofit organization partners with the US military and local communities to save lives, strengthen alliances, and advance American values.
• Networking Opportunities: Expand your network through staff lunches, leadership roundtables, and optional social events.

Areas of Focus

Internships are available in the following departments:

• Programs: Support global project implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and donor impact reporting
• Marketing: Support brand strategy, content creation, social media campaigns, and digital engagement initiatives
• Development: Assist with donor research, proposal writing, fundraising communications, and impact storytelling
• Finance: Assist with budgeting, compliance tracking, and financial systems support
• Human Resources: Contribute to talent acquisition, onboarding, and internal communication
• Information Technology: Help maintain systems infrastructure and explore tech solutions for global operations
• Communications: Draft content, analyze engagement metrics, and help share our story
