Endoscopy Technician 2

Job Description Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Endoscopy Tech 2 to join the team. This role will be Full‑time, 40 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with 10‑hour shifts. Job Responsibilities Inclusive of the duties and responsibilities of Endo Tech 1. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the Endo tech. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of anatomy and is able to anticipate the required instrumentation for each step of both basic and advanced endoscopic procedures. Expedites the procedure by anticipating the needs of the endoscopist. Demonstrates collaboration with other team members in planning/giving patient care; actively shares knowledge with staff regarding devices, techniques and procedures. May perform additional duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Certification – Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start. Experience – 1 year Endoscopy Technician experience. Leader recommendation for promotion from Endoscopy Technician 1 preferred. Education – High school diploma or equivalent. Education – Completion of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program, required upon start.
