Assistant Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

Location: San Jose, California

Salary: $108,000-$162,000 (DOE) + Vehicle Package + Benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

We're hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join a respected contractor working on high-value water and utility infrastructure across San Jose and the Bay Area. If you have 4+ years of experience and a passion for complex infrastructure delivery, this is your opportunity to contribute to some of California's most essential construction programs.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $108,000-$162,000, based on experience
Vehicle Package: Company truck + gas card or vehicle allowance + gas card
Time Off: 15+ PTO days annually + 8 paid holidays

What You'll Be Doing

Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination
Lead safety oversight and drive quality control standards
Assist in budget forecasting and financial tracking
Handle change orders and project documentation
Manage relationships with critical subcontractors
Oversee Project Engineers and field staff
Resolve logistical, labor, or contract-related issues
Coordinate equipment, tool, and vehicle management

What You Bring

4+ years of construction or project management experience
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
Background in water, utility, or heavy civil construction is ideal
Strong relationship-building and leadership capabilities
Willingness to relocate for the right role if needed
