CDL Truck Driver - Class A

CDL Truck Driver – Class A is responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver’s license. 1st Shift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM, Monday‑Friday (some Saturdays) Starting Rate: $30.12 Responsibilities Inspects the truck pre‑ and post‑trip. Accurately completes vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports. Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit. Assists with or oversees the loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit. Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents. Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck. Provides excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively. Follows all federal and state DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements. Must obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete U.S. DOT driver qualification file. Three or more years of recent commercial delivery‑driving experience. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record. Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability. Good hand‑eye coordination. Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills & Experience Previous experience working in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation is a plus. Strong commitment to customer service. Possesses specialized skills for managing hazardous materials. Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs. if necessary. Comfortable with sitting for extended periods.
