Maintenance Technician

Job Summary We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, Florida. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for general facility maintenance. You will be expected to take a proactive approach to all repair requests and to keep detailed records of all assignments completed. Compensation & Benefits Pay ranges between $17-$20 based on experience. 401K, vacation pay, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits. Uniforms available and equipment and tools provided. Responsibilities Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and identify needed repairs. Performs minor electrical maintenance to include, but not limited to, replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, fluorescent bulbs, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools. Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains and fixtures, etc.) Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and brush, sprayer or roller to apply paints, stains, varnishes, hanging doors, fixing locks and handles, etc.) Reconfigures, installs and moves office furniture, modular offices and work spaces Assist in monitoring all work performed by outside Mechanical contractors. Maintain inventory on maintenance supplies. Requirements Skilled in building tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance); facilities.
