Maintenance Electrician

Houma, LA | Full-Time | Day Shift | Shipyard Environment

Summary

Seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support electrical maintenance and repairs in a shipyard environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and machinery while following all safety standards.

Must Haves

3+ years of maintenance electrician experience
Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
Knowledge of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand tools
Dependable with reliable transportation

Preferred

Shipyard, marine, or industrial maintenance experience
Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and VFDs
Electrical certification or vocational training
Preventive maintenance experience
