Frontend Developer

About The Role Volta builds the internal and customer-facing software platforms that give teams visibility into capacity, power, and compute availability across our data center and compute fleet. As a Frontend Developer in Engineering, you will build the applications and interfaces that make this complex infrastructure data usable, intuitive, and fast. You'll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that Volta's internal operators and external customers rely on every day - from provisioning dashboards to capacity and status portals. What You Will Be Doing Build and maintain responsive, accessible web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React or similar) Translate designs and product requirements into performant, well-tested UI components Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume APIs that surface infrastructure and capacity data Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices across the frontend codebase Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility Contribute to Volta's shared component library and frontend design system Debug and resolve production issues, working with on-call engineers as needed Partner with product and design teams to iterate on user experience based on feedback and data What You Bring 3+ years of professional experience building production web applications Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser testing Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows Strong attention to detail and a track record of shipping polished user interfaces Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
