Schedule: Hospitalist coverage with support from employed and private practice physicians; 4 inductions and 1-2 cesarean sections daily across clinic and private cases; shift-based coverage with APRN support on each shift
Highlights:
- Level II/III Nursery and Level II Trauma Center setting with comprehensive obstetric capabilities
- EPIC EMR system in place for streamlined documentation and care coordination
- Practice mix includes 60% low-risk, 40% high-risk obstetrics, and 10% gynecology procedures
- Collaborative team environment with 5 employed physicians, 10 private physicians, and 6 APPs (primarily midwives) providing shift coverage
- Modern facility with 5 triage rooms, 12 delivery rooms, and 2 cesarean section operating rooms
- Cesarean section rate of 18% with approximately 1 gynecology surgery per day
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN required
- Active Ohio medical license (may consider licensing candidates)
- BLS certification required
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification from NCC required
- Proficiency in low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management
- Experience with routine and complicated delivery procedures including vaginal delivery, cesarean section, forceps delivery, breech delivery, multiple births, and management of complications
- Competency in FHR interpretation, NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and interpretation), VBACs, and repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 3 months
