6th Grade Social Studies Teacher

Position Summary Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate Social Studies instructional program based on the Colorado Academic Standards and district scope and sequence in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Responsible for working effectively with a team of paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents and District office staff with the purpose of providing quality educational services for each and every student, each and every day, without exception. Status Full Time, 36 Hours Per Week, 165 Days Per Year. Location Rifle Middle School. Salary Range In-District Experience: $44,731-$123,977. No in-District Experience: $44,731-$67,102. Licensure Paths Alternative Licensure: For candidates with a bachelor’s degree, the district can enroll them in an online, alternative licensure program that is low cost with high level training. Long Term Substitute: Requires a sub license and provides on-the-job training. Apprentice Teacher of Record: Partnership with the Department of Labor to create a Teacher Apprentice Program that allows aspiring teachers to earn a bachelor’s degree while gaining on-the-job training.
