Plant Engineering Manager

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will develop and implement plant technical strategies focused on engineering projects and systems, guide vertical startup processes that support low-loss production systems, and provide solutions to technical challenges that enhance production performance.YouwillmanagetheplantcapitalplaninpartnershipwithCorporateEngineering,leadtheEarlyManagementPillar,andoverseeutilitiestosupportsafety,quality,sanitation,cost,andserviceobjectives.ATasteofYourResponsibilitiesLead the implementation of the capital plan and ensure alignment amongSafety,Sanitation,Quality,Environmental,Operations,Maintenance,andFinanceteams.Drive the Early Management Pillar andsupportcapabilitydevelopmentwithinpillarandcellteams.OverseetheUtilitiesteamandensurefunctionality,reliability,andcomplianceacrossallplantutilitysystems.Maintain the plant capital project list and partner with the Platform Engineering Director to secure resourcessuchasEngineeringProjectManagers,SubjectMatterExperts,andStart-UpManagers.Supportinternalsystemsauditsandprovideprojectandtechnicalguidancetoplantanddivisionpartners.Partnerwithplantleadershiptoimprovesafety,quality,sanitation,laborrelations,cost,andcustomerservicethroughcross-functionalprojectteams.Coordinateworkdirectionformechanicalandclericalactivitieswithinthemaintenancedepartment.Lead plantcommunicationrhythm,includingteammeetingsthatpromoteperformance,development,andalignment.Ingredients RequiredforYourSuccessBachelor’sdegreeinEngineering.Five years of experience in food manufacturing; threeyearsoftrainingexperiencepreferred.Experiencemanagingmulti-million-dollarcapitalprojects.Projectmanagementexperience.Leadershipskillstoinfluence,guide,andpartneracrossfunctions.Willingnesstorotateshiftsandworkweekendsandholidaysasbusinessneedsrequire.Strong communicationandpresentationskills.Proficiencywithcomputerapplications.PhysicalRequirementsMoreinformationaboutessentialtasksandthefacilitywillbesharedduringthehiringprocess.Thisrolemayrequireyoutobeinourmanufacturingfacilities.Whenvisitingthesesites,thephysicalrequirementsbelowmayapply: Youmayberequiredtowalkaroundthefacility,climbstairs/ladders,kneel,orperformrepetitivetasksthatrequirehand-eyecoordination. Youmayberequiredtoliftorcarrymaterialsthatcanvaryinweightandsize. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
