Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Cath Lab professional requiring an active Iowa or compact RN license and 3 years of cath lab experience.

Details

• Cath Lab department at a Level 3 trauma center
• Cares for coronary and vascular cases, with some interventional radiology (IR) cases
• Uses Cath Lab equipment, including IABP, Rota, and Penumbra devices
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 10-hour shifts on a 4x9 36gww pattern
• No weekend requirements
• On-call required every other week from Monday 1600 to the following Monday 0630
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Utilizes Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of cath lab experience required
• Prior scrub experience required
• Experience with vasopressor titration required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Completed skills checklist within the past year required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Serve as part of an interdisciplinary team providing clinical care to cath lab patients
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Orientation held every Monday
• At least one completed travel contract preferred but not required, so first-time travelers may be considered
