Preconstruction Manager

McLeRoy, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction efforts for heavy civil construction projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced estimator who enjoys influencing project strategy, building backlog, mentoring team members, and partnering closely with operations to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for heavy civil projects including site development, grading, earthwork, underground utilities, roadway improvements, and infrastructure work. Develop detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, production analyses, and bid proposals. Evaluate project risks, identify value engineering opportunities, and support project pursuit strategy. Build relationships with owners, developers, engineers, municipalities, GC's, and suppliers. Lead project turnover meetings and support successful transitions from preconstruction to operations. Help improve estimating processes and systems. Qualifications 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience. Strong background in earthwork, utilities, site development, and civil infrastructure projects. Experience with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK, Bluebeam, B2W, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of construction means and methods, production rates, equipment utilization, and job costing.
