Child Life Specialist IIThe Child Life Specialist II demonstrates knowledge of Child Life assessments and interventions appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients and families served. Actively collaborates with multidisciplinary team to advocate for patient and family needs. Demonstrates a commitment to family-centered care. Minimum qualifications include 1+ year of experience as a Child Life Specialist. Bilingual Spanish speaking is highly preferred. Must have completed a 600-hour child life clinical internship under a certified child life specialist by December 10, 2021.Responsibilities include supervising and interacting with children in a safe and compassionate manner, implementing creative activities to assist with child development, creating a positive and nurturing environment for children, and performing a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play.
