The Golf Assistant Professional is responsible for assisting with operations pertaining to the golf shop & outside service activities, teaching golf clinics and junior camps, assisting with physical inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of golf rounds, customer preferences & usage patterns, scheduling tee times and handling customer inquiries. The assistant golf professional will also help with implementing tournaments, running group outings and special events, assist with organizing and maintaining ancillary services such as GHIN, assure timely submission of all reports and other additional duties as required. Is responsible for creating 5-star golf experience.

Essential Functions:

• Daily shifts at the golf operations check-in desk, including completing daily close-out procedures.
• Responsible for helping the Director of Golf and Head Professional with coordinating daily guest and member play.
• Do monthly golf events calendar to assist golf course maintenance, F & B department, and member service staff.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage. Be aware of pace of play on the course during the day.
• Effectively communicate with guests to ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
• Incorporate safe workplace practices in job performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 1-2 years previous work experience in a golf course environment preferred. Must have a thorough understanding of golf.
• Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and sitting.
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
