Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Onsite | Fort Worth

Position Summary Kiewit is looking for a Mechanic for a location in Fort Worth, TX. Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, or equivalent education. Must be able to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems. Must be willing to move all types of construction equipment. Support on‑site Technicians when project demands require additional assistance. Ability to wash equipment and clean up the work environment as needed. Experience working with Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, and Takeuchi. Experience working with diagnostic systems: CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, and Diesel Laptop. Job Details Current schedule is 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday. Must be willing to work additional overtime, weekends and nights when required. All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test. Work Environment The person in this position must constantly move around a construction/industrial site, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions. Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required. May be required to use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, and scaffolds to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment. May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial sites. Must have required tools. Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required. Ability to pass pre‑access drug and alcohol testing.
