Lot Technician

We are a growing, family-owned used car dealership looking for a dependable and hardworking Lot Technician to join our team. This is a hands‑on role that’s essential to keeping our dealership running smoothly. As a Lot Technician, you’ll help maintain the appearance of our inventory, organize the lot, prepare vehicles for sale, and support both our sales and service teams with a variety of day‑to‑day tasks. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Safely maneuver and park a variety of vehicles Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles for damage or irregularities Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lot, including outdoor work Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles to ensure they are clean and ready for sale Maintain the appearance and organization of the dealership lot Arrange and move vehicles on the lot to maximize presentation and customer accessibility Fuel vehicles and check basic fluid levels as needed Install license plates, dealer plates, and temporary tags Assist with photographing vehicles and preparing them for online listings Deliver and pick up vehicles, parts, or paperwork as needed Transport vehicles to and from repair shops, inspections, auctions, or customer locations Jump‑start vehicles, check tire pressure, replace batteries, and perform other basic lot maintenance tasks Keep the sales office, customer areas, and lot clean and presentable Ensure vehicles are locked, secured, and properly displayed at the end of each day Organize vehicle keys Help receive and check in newly arrived inventory Assist with snow removal, sweeping, or general property maintenance as needed Represent the dealership with professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with customers Qualifications Prior experience in dealership operations or automotive service is preferred but not required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor environments. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with team members. Familiarity with outdoor work environments, parking lot management, and automotive safety standards.
