Material Handler

The Warehouse Technician Supply Store position involves handling materials, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. The role requires attention to detail, safety practices, and flexibility in work hours.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Load and unload trucks, locate and pick materials into and out of warehouse racks and between locations.
• Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, ensuring all equipment is inspected and in safe operating condition.
• Stock and arrange products to maintain efficient warehouse inventory turnover.
• Determine accurate material quantities through cycle counting.
• Receive materials into inventory, move materials between designated locations, and ensure accurate data entry impacting electronic records.
• Resolve discrepancies with material quantities and part numbers.
• Locate parts ensuring pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, and ensuring materials are not left in aisles.
• Practice safe material handling techniques.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management.
• Skill in picking and packing materials.
• General labor experience.
• Ability to conduct audits and scans.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols. Working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work. The position does not require forklift operation or working at heights.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
