Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Santa Fe, New Mexico.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 14, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a current NM or compact RN license and BLS certification.Details\n \n Acute Observation unit within a hospital setting\n Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6\n Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n 13-week assignment\n Weekend rotation required, 2 to 4 shifts per month\n On-call requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated among staff\n Floating required to all Med/Surg departments under the same nurse manager\n Uses EPIC EMR system\n Requirements\n \n Current New Mexico RN license or compact state RN license\n BLS certification via AHA required\n BSN preferred\n 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation\n Administers medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness\n Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided\n Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families\n Provides patient and family education, identifying learning needs and resources\n Grey scrubs required as part of dress code\n Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility\n Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-748765.
