Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students in the Easley/Powdersville area as a Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position beginning September 8, 2026. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated school community, providing personalized educational guidance to a caseload of 26 exceptional learners. Your workdays will run Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, offering a set schedule that allows you to truly connect with your students and witness their growth throughout the school year.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with support staff, parents, and related service providers
• Ability to develop and implement engaging, individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude when addressing student needs and celebrating their progress

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs in a supportive middle school environment
• Manage a caseload of 26 students, regularly monitoring progress toward IEP goals
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom setting that encourages social, emotional, and academic development
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and best practices
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and ongoing professional development
