Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, immediate care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions. The role requires quick decision-making, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognize urgent situations, and determine appropriate actions.
• Initiate emergency measures in the absence of a physician, ensuring patient safety and stability.
• Operate and monitor advanced emergency care equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion devices.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient observations, interventions, and communication with healthcare team members accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Hold active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management and emergency equipment operation.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to float between ER, ICU, and Medical/Surgical units as needed.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple urgent tasks efficiently.
