Diversified Support Services  is seeking a Japanese Translator  to support operations at a manufacturing facility in Steele, Alabama. This role provides Japanese-to-English translation and interpretation services while supporting productivity and quality improvement initiatives across production, quality, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate written documents, reports, and technical materials from Japanese to English while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

• Provide interpretation support during meetings, conference calls, production floor activities, and daily business communications.

• Assist executives and Japanese support staff with administrative and communication needs in both English and Japanese.

• Prepare presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and data summaries to support productivity and quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain reporting deadlines, complete special projects, and support ongoing plant operations while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.

• Proficiency in Japanese and English with strong written, verbal, translation, and interpretation skills.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated team player with the ability to quickly learn new processes and collaborate across multiple departments.

Schedule & Pay

• Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on business needs)

• Overtime may be required as needed

• Occasional travel may be required
