Process co‑payment collections, self‑pay deposits, and daily cash reconciliation, adhering to departmental cash control procedures. Distribute required administrative forms and registration records to nursing units and ancillary departments, preventing misfiling incidents. Analyze registration work queues, identify error trends, and develop training resources to reduce errors. Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state and federal regulations – including HIPAA, workers’ compensation, and pre‑certification requirements. Qualifications 1+ year of experience in patient registration; 4+ years of experience in multi‑service admissions and revenue cycle support preferable. Demonstrated ability to sustain error rates below 3% and manage 40+ daily patient encounters. Proficiency with registration modules, POS devices, web‑based eligibility tools, and cash‑handling procedures. Strong knowledge of consent documentation, insurance verification, workers’ compensation, and Joint Commission compliance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to coordinate with physicians, nursing units, billing, coding, and insurance carriers. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology, Health Services Administration, or related field.
