Mechanical Engineer - Static Equipment

Job Title and Location Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment Location: Houston, TX Job Type and Working Hours Contract to Direct position Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 5 – 8 hours day Responsibilities Attend vendor and internal team meetings Specify vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers, vessel internals and other static process equipment Prepare equipment data sheets, and full mechanical equipment and system specifications Perform technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations Attend vendor design and fabrication kickoff meetings Perform ASME/NBIC/API code repair and alteration calculations as well as FFS evaluations Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering 5-10 years of static equipment experience for industrial applications Professional Engineer License TWIC Card is a plus Experience in Pipe Stress Analysis using CAESAR II software Experience working with ASME Section VIII, TEMA, and API Standards for static equipment Strong Experience with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Piping Codes Experience using PRG Solutions Software (FEPipe, NozzlePro, etc.) for Analysis Experience using HTRI for heat exchanger design and troubleshooting Experience with COMPRESS pressure vessel design software Strong attention to detail and capable to perform detailed technical document and drawing checking Additional Information Start date: ASAP Contract to Direct position Benefits System One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, as well as participation in a 401(k) plan.
