Physical Therapist Assistant - Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work on the inpatient rehabilitation unit, with the option to float to the medical-surgical unit as needed. The PTA will join a dedicated team that includes other therapy professionals such as Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP).

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in the implementation of individual treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Document patient progress and update records as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and clinical guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Previous experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred.
