Sr. Security Engineer - Security Engineering Team

Salary: $100,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required, along with eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• 5–7 years of experience working as a security engineering specialist in a SOC environment.
• Experience supporting a large global enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of information security, including malware, emerging threats, attack techniques, and vulnerability management.
• Customer service experience, including resolving escalations and handling incident responses.
• Cloud security experience is a plus.
• Programming or scripting experience with languages such as C, .NET, Python, or Perl is a plus.
• Previous experience with Unix/Linux and the vi editor is a plus.
• Relevant certifications are an asset, including CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN, GCCF, CISA, CWSP, CCSP, CCNP, MSCE, Security+, or certifications in vulnerability analysis, ethical hacking, or penetration testing.
• Experience with change control, problem and incident management, and troubleshooting security solutions is a plus.
• Technical proficiency with at least one enterprise SIEM platform, such as ArcSight, Envision, Q1 Radar, or Nitro Security, and one enterprise network intrusion detection system, such as HP Tipping Point, Sourcefire, or McAfee, is a plus.
• Familiarity with the aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing industries is a plus.

• Monitor the health of security tools and take action as needed.
• Respond to incidents by taking appropriate action on tools within the Security Engineering Teams remit.
• Triage requests received through the Engineering Team mailbox and Service Management intake queue, and ensure each request is assigned an owner within the team.
• Help maintain the integrity of client IT infrastructures and the availability of security toolkit infrastructure within our remit.
• Support security tools and platforms, including SIEM, IDPS, GVM, and malware protection.
• Log and respond to health alerts from the security infrastructure we maintain.
• Configure and adjust policies, features, and enhancements in response to security incidents and client improvement requests.
• Troubleshoot security tools when they affect business applications.
• Follow core IT Service Management principles.
• Develop and apply a strong understanding of information security principles, including malware analysis, emerging threats, attack techniques, and vulnerability management.
